Privacy Policy

Levelford Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 38 698 794 740) ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who is responsible
Data controller: Levelford Australia Pty Ltd, Level 1, 9-11 Grosvenor Street, Neutral Bay, NSW 2089, Australia. Privacy Officer: privacy@empirebuilder.cloud.
2. What we collect
- Account & identity: name, email, password (stored hashed), preferences.
- Billing: handled by Stripe; we receive limited metadata (e.g. last 4 digits, status). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage: features used, device/browser, IP address, timestamps, diagnostic logs.
- Communications: your support messages.
- Voice input (only if you use it): the audio you record when you speak to your assistant, and the transcript from it. Used to carry out your request; not used to identify you.
- Cookies: essential cookies for sign-in and security; analytics cookies only with your consent.
We do not collect sensitive information or government-related identifiers to identify you. We collect personal information directly from you where practicable and tell you why at the point of collection (APP 5).
3. Why we use it
To provide and secure the product and your account; process payments and any returns; give support; improve the product (aggregated/diagnostic); meet legal obligations; and, with consent, send product updates (opt out anytime).
4. Who we share it with
- Hosting: Render Services, Inc. and its sub-processors (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, ClickHouse).
- Payments: Stripe (Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd and affiliates).
- Voice / speech-to-text (only if you use voice input): your audio is sent to a speech-recognition provider to convert it to text — ElevenLabs, Inc. and/or your browser's built-in speech service (for example, Google). We send only the audio needed for the transcript.
- Professional advisers / authorities where required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)
To run Empire Builder we disclose personal information to overseas providers: Render and its sub-processors store data in the United States (and Singapore if your service is provisioned there); Stripe may process data in the United States and other countries; and, if you use voice input, your speech audio is processed by ElevenLabs, Inc. and/or your browser's built-in speech service (for example, Google), which may process it in the United States and other countries. Before disclosing overseas we take reasonable steps to ensure recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.
6. Retention & security
We keep personal information only as long as needed or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it. We use technical and organisational safeguards; our host holds SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001. If a breach is likely to cause serious harm we notify affected individuals and the OAIC under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, opt out of marketing, or complain — email privacy@empirebuilder.cloud (we respond within ~30 days). Unresolved? Contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Children & changes
Empire Builder is not directed to under-18s and we don't knowingly collect their data. We'll post updates here with a new "last updated" date and notify you of material changes.
